On October 24, researchers from Hitachi Central Research Institute and Hitachi (China) Research Institute visited MileBot at the invitation of CTO Dr. Ye Jing. The teams exchanged ideas on robotics research and development.
Dr. Ye introduced MileBot’s work on the BEAR-H1 lower-limb rehabilitation exoskeleton, from technical development to bringing the product into use. A MileBot engineer then demonstrated the robot.

BEAR-H1 uses compliant actuators and sensors to support interaction between the wearer and the robot. Its six active joints assist movement at the hips, knees and ankles, while an additional hip rotation mechanism accommodates movement during walking.
The visit gave the researchers an opportunity to discuss the robot’s design and its application in rehabilitation training.
