C SERIES

C Series Children’srehabilitation

Compliant joints and wearable support for children’s walking practice.

C Series

Children’s rehabilitation

Walking practice
designed around children.

C Series brings together a wearable structure designed for children, powered hip and knee joints and several training modes for children with lower-limb walking difficulties. Sessions are arranged with professional support.

Fit for children

The wearable structure follows children’s proportions and movement, with adjustment to support fitting.

Contact with the ground

Walking practice brings the feet into contact with the ground, linking the movement of stepping with contact in a real setting.

Drive and support

Compliant joints.
Support through each step.

Powered joints at both hips and knees assist lower-limb movement. Compliant drive mechanisms provide low-impedance interaction and absorb impact, working with motion intent sensing to assist movement.

Four powered joints

The hip and knee joints on each side work with supports around the pelvis, legs and feet.

Motion intent sensing

Movement sensing helps the system recognise the user’s participation and provide powered assistance.

Training modes

Active and passive.
Six ways to practise.

Six modes cover continuous walking, stepping in place, individual steps and leg swings. Active modes involve the child’s own movement; passive modes guide repeated movements. A professional selects the mode for the session.

Continuous walking · Active

The child participates in a continuous walking sequence with device assistance.

Continuous walking · Passive

The device guides the legs through a repeated walking sequence.

Continuous stepping · Active

The child actively participates in alternating steps in place.

Continuous stepping · Passive

The device guides repeated alternating steps in place.

Single-step walking · Passive

The device guides an individual walking step.

Leg-swing training · Passive

The device guides repeated leg-swing movements.

Fit and safeguards

Support, fit and control
throughout the session.

Children’s rehabilitation involves both movement assistance and a secure fit. C Series combines wearable supports, mechanical locks and emergency stopping within the device.

Wearable supports

Supports around the waist, legs and feet are adjusted around the child’s body.

Safety locks

Safety locks secure adjustable positions and supporting structures.

Emergency stop

A dedicated emergency stop button is available during training.
