On August 2, 2018, Forbes China announced its 30 Under 30 list, recognizing 600 young people across 20 fields. MileBot founder and CEO Dr. Chen Gong was selected in the healthcare category.

Dr. Chen graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a degree in mechanical engineering and automation and received his PhD in biomedical engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2016.
His research covers rehabilitation robotics and human–robot interaction, including exoskeleton design, compliant actuators and control systems for gait training. He founded MileBot in 2016 to develop medical rehabilitation robots.
