MileBot held its product launch on November 11, 2017, introducing the BEAR-H1 lower-limb rehabilitation exoskeleton. More than 300 guests attended, including representatives from local government, research institutions, industry and the media.

Liu Shiming delivered opening remarks. Guests included Professor Huang Guozhi of Southern Medical University, Professor Liu Yunhui of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and representatives from the rehabilitation and investment sectors.
The team’s approach

Introducing BEAR-H1
BEAR-H1 uses compliant actuators and multiple sensors to support human–robot interaction. Six active joints assist movement at the hips, knees and ankles during rehabilitation training.

The launch included demonstrations of the robot’s operating modes, giving guests a closer look at its design and operation. MileBot will continue its research and development in rehabilitation robotics.
