About the trial
A prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled non-inferiority trial is evaluating the effectiveness and safety of a lower-limb exoskeleton rehabilitation training robot for people with lower-limb motor dysfunction following a stroke.
The robot has active and passive training modes and assists movement at the hips, knees and ankles. The trial has been reviewed and approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University.
Who can apply
Volunteers who meet the following conditions may apply:
- Stable vital signs and a stable medical condition suitable for exercise testing.
- Aged 18–75; participants of any gender may apply.
- Body weight below 85 kg and height between 1.55 m and 1.90 m.
- A first diagnosis of stroke with hemiplegia, caused by cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage, between two weeks and six months after onset.
- Sufficient upper-limb strength to hold the balance bar.
- No other condition that the investigator considers unsuitable for participation.
Participation and support
The study lasts one month. Eligible participants will receive:
- Robotic training or conventional walking training free of charge.
- Free professional follow-up examinations and assessments.
- A total participation allowance of RMB 1,000: RMB 500 after completing the functional assessment on day 14, and RMB 500 after the assessment on day 28.
Participants must attend training as scheduled and follow the research doctor’s instructions throughout the study.
