The 2019 Shenzhen International Rehabilitation Forum concluded at Shenzhen’s Felicity Hotel on August 18. The event brought together more than 200 experts and over 2,000 participants.
Organized by the Shenzhen Rehabilitation Medical Association and the Hong Kong Institute of Occupational Therapy, the conference included a robotics forum hosted by co-organizer MileBot.
Research and clinical perspectives
Professor Wang Jun discussed intelligent technology and walking function.
Professor Fu Chenglong discussed environmental sensing and adaptive control for robotic transfemoral prostheses.
MileBot CEO Dr. Chen Gong spoke about robotic training for people following a stroke.
Wang Daoyu shared perspectives on research and the commercialization of upper-limb rehabilitation robots.
The session was chaired by MileBot CTO Dr. Ye Jing and Zhang Yong of Rehabilitation Express.
Demonstrations and discussion
At the exhibition, the MileBot team demonstrated BEAR-H1 and spoke with visitors about the exoskeleton’s design and its use in rehabilitation training.
The team will next exhibit at Smart China Expo in Chongqing.
