MileBot founder and CEO Dr. Chen Gong was named a Shenzhen Youth Entrepreneurship Model at a ceremony held at Shenzhen Youth Square on September 27.

The selection marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It was sponsored by the Shenzhen Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Shenzhen Youth Federation, and organized by the Shenzhen Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Association.
Forty entrepreneurs across a range of industries were selected from more than 400 applicants.

Dr. Chen’s work focuses on rehabilitation robotics and human–robot interaction. After studying at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the National University of Singapore, he founded MileBot to develop medical rehabilitation robots.
